ReplyDeleteWell you can go to that strange place if you want! I was simply sniggering at the idea that at any moment, from any direction, a random search could be imposed on my bag. When actually, the pub pays security guards to search the bags of suspicious-looking types.

Warning! If you look like you have drugs or a knife in your fake Louis Vuitton, a weedy bar man is going to tell that big guy in black to come give you a bit of a bullying.
Use of the passive to dodge responsibility. Just looks silly.
